The book I'm reading is called Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk. The beginning of my book is really strange. It starts out with a main character that we don't know. There's a girl in a burned wedding dress with burned hair, holding a rifle, named Evie Cottrell. There's another girl named Brandy Alexander who is bleeding out of a gun shot wound in her head and is dying on the floor. I'm not sure who Evie is exactly but Brandy is described as a model and as a princess. The book has times where it can be described as poetic which, I believe, makes it more captivating and thought provoking. Something interesting that's happening in the book right now is that the person who's narrating this entire event where the house they're in is burning down while Evie drops the gun and starts crying, and Brandy is dying on the floor is that the person who's watching all of this describes it as a movie. It's so well-written that I can imagine this entire scene playing in my head which has been really...gruesome and interesting to picture and become a part of. This is my favorite quote that I've read so far from the book: "No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense that you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it at all." Which I also think is very interesting because the author likes to write in "time jumps" where the author be talking about one thing in one paragraph then time jump to the next event worth mentioning so I always feel like there's something I should know about in between or I won't be able to keep up. Overall, I'm really enjoying this book so far.

So I am not quite sure what this book is even about, not that it is your fault, it was a well written blog. I just think it sounds like a very complex book with many different ways that it could go. I am slightly interested where this is going :)

I think this book actually sounds pretty interesting! I'm not sure where this story is going to go, but I hope you enjoy it! Judging off the title, I wasn't sure that this book would be 'my cup of tea' but now, after reading your summary, it actually sounds like a book I might pick up.
